The EMPOWR consortium combines expertise in research, human factors, AI, AR, Digital Twins, manufacturing pilots, embedded systems, occupational health and safety, training, dissemination, exploitation, industrial networking and policy engagement. Together, the partners develop, validate and promote technologies that make Industry 5.0 practical, safe and worker-centred.

Centre for Research & Technology Hellas / CERTH

Greece

CERTH is one of Greece’s leading research centres, and ranks among the top 15 EU institutions in terms of participation in competitive research grants. The Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT), one of CERTH’s five research institutes, conducts basic and applied research in the field of transportation, covering all modes of transport and related thematic areas (e.g. infrastructure, operations, governance, policy, training, etc.)

Role in EMPOWR

Project coordinator and technical integration partner. CERTH oversees project implementation and leads technology multi-dimensional assessment, while contributes expertise in the Digital Twin framework development, sensors and system integration, supporting stakeholder engagement and needs assessment, and market transferability and commercial exploitation.

Technische Universiteit Delft / TU Delft

Netherlands

TU Delft is the oldest and largest technical university in the Netherlands, with strong research and education in engineering, science, design, and technology.

Role in EMPOWR

Research and pilot-support partner contributing expertise in advanced manufacturing, human-machine collaboration, ergonomics and aerospace pilot requirements.

France

Institut Mines-Télécom is a French public group of grandes écoles in engineering and management, with a strong focus on research, innovation, and digital and industrial transformation. 

Role in EMPOWR

AR and human-machine interaction research partner supporting adaptive AR interfaces, multimodal interaction and worker-centred interface design.

Hellenic Mediterranean University / HMU

Greece

The Hellenic Mediterranean University is a public Greek university based in Heraklion, with campuses across Crete, active in education, research, and innovation. 

Role in EMPOWR

Technical research partner leading interactive cognitive systems and contributing to ALMA, adaptive AI tools, sensor integration and manufacturing technology readiness.

Deep Blue SRL / DBL

Italy

Deep Blue (DBL) is an Italian research, consulting, and training SME specializing in human-centred design, safety, and human factors across EU research programs in aviation, mobility, and industrial systems. 

Role in EMPOWR

DBL leads human factors, participatory design, and ethical alignment. Beyond driving worker needs mapping, user personas, and co-designed operational scenarios, DBL conducts ethical and liability assessments to translate legal, social, and regulatory considerations into concrete system requirements and recommendations. Furthermore, DBL supports the validation process to evaluate and maximize user trust and technology acceptance in human-AI collaboration.

ErgoProlipsis provides occupational health and safety, environmental management, risk management, and consulting services for businesses.

Role in EMPOWR

Occupational health and safety expert supporting risk prevention, ergonomics, worker safety analysis and the responsible integration of augmentation technologies.

Collins Aerospace Ireland / CAI

Ireland

Collins Aerospace is a global aerospace and defence company providing advanced systems, technologies and solutions for commercial aviation, space and defence applications. Through its international network of specialised entities, Collins Aerospace combines engineering, manufacturing and innovation capabilities to support the development of safer, more efficient and more connected aerospace systems. 

Role in EMPOWR

As a Collins Aerospace entity, CAI contributes industrial aerospace manufacturing expertise and supports the implementation and validation of the EMPOWR ecosystem in real industrial conditions. CAI plays a leading role in the aerospace pilot activities, helping define operational requirements, coordinate pilot implementation and assess the applicability of the project’s solutions in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Advanced Laboratory on Embedded Systems SRL / CAIT

Advanced Laboratory on Embedded Systems SRL (CAIT) is an Italian research and development entity within Collins Aerospace, specialising in the design, development and verification of embedded and safety-critical systems. As part of the wider Collins Aerospace network, CAIT contributes advanced engineering expertise to the development of safer, more efficient and more connected aerospace technologies and systems. 

Role in EMPOWR

As a Collins Aerospace entity, CAIT contributes industrial aerospace and embedded-systems expertise and supports the implementation and validation of the EMPOWR ecosystem in real industrial conditions. CAIT contributes to the definition of technical and operational requirements, benchmarking, system readiness and validation activities, supporting the successful demonstration of the project’s solutions in aerospace-related industrial environments.

Koninklijke Fabriek Inventum B.V. (CANL) is a Dutch aerospace company within Collins Aerospace, specialising in aircraft cabin systems, galley equipment and other aerospace technologies. As part of the wider Collins Aerospace network, CANL combines industrial manufacturing and equipment-integration expertise to support the development of safe, efficient and reliable solutions for aviation applications. 

Role in EMPOWR

As a Collins Aerospace entity, CANL contributes industrial aerospace manufacturing and equipment-integration expertise and supports the implementation and validation of the EMPOWR ecosystem in real industrial conditions. CANL contributes to the definition of industrial requirements, pilot equipment integration and validation activities, helping assess the applicability of the project’s solutions within aerospace manufacturing and operational environments.

Resilux Packaging South Europe is active in the production of PET preforms and packaging solutions for food, beverages, and other packaging applications. 

Role in EMPOWR

Industrial pilot partner for smart automated PET preform production, providing a real production environment for validating EMPOWR technologies.

AETHON Engineering is a Greek engineering and innovation company developing solutions for smart cities, mobility, transport, energy, logistics, artificial intelligence, and R&D projects.

AI engineering partner leading key components such as ALMA, adaptive learning, worker intention prediction and the Living Labs outputs.

Estonia

iED Estonia is the Estonian legal entity affiliated with the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, active in entrepreneurship, innovation, skills development, and European-funded projects.

Dissemination, communication, exploitation and policy impact lead. iED manages visibility, stakeholder engagement, exploitation planning, standardisation and policy activities.
